Pre-Made, 5-core DR25 Wire assembly from new UK distributor AvioRace UK
AvioRace, a well-known European distributor of motorsport products, have recently launched their UK distribution arm AvioRace UK, based in Norfolk.
An interesting product from their offering is a pre-made DR25 cable assembly – part number EPD118427A.
It comprises five cores in total: a blue and white twisted pair for CAN and three singles of red, black and yellow; commonly for power, ground and signal.
All cores are type 55A in 24 AWG and the jacket is DR25, this combination is great for CAN and sensor wiring applications.
If you need to make up test harnesses or extensions, twisting up long multicore legs and sleeving in DR25 can be quite time-consuming. This would be a real time saver for teams with limited wiring facilities or without skilled wiring staff.
Many of the existing pre-made cable assemblies use a stiff outer jacket or don’t have a dedicated twisted pair for CAN. This combination from AvioRace ticks many boxes for motorsport applications!
