Pole Position for WireTrain Positioner Turrets?
We are pleased to announce version 2 of our Indent Crimp positioner turrets. These turrets fit the DMC AMF8, Astro and WireTrain Indent Crimp Tools, using the original bayonette quick fitting.
WireTrain tools are an excellent and affordable alternative to the Aerospace certified turrets. They feature a sprung center pin, for the correct location and colour-coded badge for quick identification. We have a slightly larger center pin than other suppliers and this allows us to accommodate a wider range of contacts.
By careful examination of the required crimp position, in some cases we can accept a range of contacts to a single turret type, this means a lower number of turrets needed to cover a complete range of contacts. Check out the reference table!
We even have a positioner that covers both the #20 DTM Pin and socket in a single turret, so when you’re flying with your tool kit, you no longer need to take the beefy AF8!
For special applications, we can supply spare center pins, these are pilot drilled allowing you to customise the positioners for low-volume production tasks or where no affordable positioner is available for your contact.
