A really valuable 2 days with lots of useful real-world advice and tips.
A very interactive session helped ensure everybody could maximise the benefits and share information.
Zachary
As someone with no formal wiring experience, the course taught me alot of the fundamentals and allowed me to practice these new skills/techniques.
While I wont use these skills everyday, its good to have that experience in my back pocket!
Josh
The Pro wiring course was very well paced and informative from start to finish. Worked well with people with vast experience in the field but also worked well for those with little experience. John was an excellent instructor, took the time to 1 to 1 with everyone throughout the day, helping in areas with those struggling.
Learnt some great tips and tricks from John, which has been collated over his career! I am glad to have learnt from one of the best! Would recommend anyone to one Wiretrain’s courses at any level.
Liam
Course was very useful and interesting. Had no real previous experience with Wiring and after it was complete, feel I have gained a lot more knowledge. Instructor (John) was extremely helpful and very patient with us. Would definitely recommend.

Frequently Asked Questions
We think we’ve covered most questions here but if not, please don’t hesitate to contact us using the button below.
+ How long does the training last?
Workshops typically start at 9.00 am and run to 5:00pm. Attendees are stongly advised to arrive 15 to 30 minutes early. We always have lots to cover, and aim to dive straight in at 9:00 am.
The days is split into 1 hour blocks, these are each followed by a 10 minute break. Lunch is from 12:30 to 13:30. This format delivers 6 hours of focused training each day, but with enough breaks to allow you to enjoy the day.
+ What are the dates of the workshops?
We understand the motorsport calender is busy, so please get in touch and we can work with you to find appropriate dates. Just hit the message button below.
+ Who runs the workshops?
We use engineers and wiring technicians with decades of experience in the motorsport field. The WireTrain team members are generally working daily in professional motorsport, either building or supporting projects around the globe.
+ Is the workshop value for money?
We strive to ensure great value across all of our workshops, but we do understand cost concerns. In the Pro Wiring workshop each attendee will consume many hundereds of pounds worth of materials, boots, wire and autosport connectors during the workshop, these are the same materials as those found in F1, LeMans, Indycar wiring harnesses.
At every workshop attendees are provided a full set of tools for the duration of the day. Finally our staff are professionals who consult or work in motorsport enviroments. Putting this all together creates a fantastic value package. No one ever said motorsport on a budget was easy 😉
+ What are the levels of the workshops?
We rank each of our workshops from Level 1 to Level 4. This allows you to gauge what intensity and detail to expect from each workshop.
Level 1: An introductory workshop which will be suitable for those with no prior experience, and with limited practical background.
Level 2: These workshops assume you’re familiar with general wiring concepts, motorsport terms, and have a good practical skills set.
Level 3: These workshops are generally for those that work in professional motorsport, and need winning results. Your generally happy with a challenging learning curve.
Level 4: Where many of our other workshops give a broad understanding of the topic, these workshops typically deep dive and aim to push you to a global motorsport level.
+ Can you fit everything you listed into a single one day workshop?
We are dedicated to good value, and our workshops are fairly busy days. However we still want to ensure everyone gets enough time to progress, at their own pace. If the whole group makes excellent progress across a day, we usually have some extra demonstrations, but this is obviously dependant on time remaining. We cannot guarantee to run them in full every time.
+ What happens if I finish a task early?
Fantastic, your doing great! But we can be sneaky, and we sometimes include optional and fun, additional, taxing tasks for anyone completing a task early! We like to make sure you’ll never get bored, ha!
+ Where are the workshops located?
Many of our workshops are held in the main meeting room of Heyford Park Innovation Center. The Heyford park area has seen lots of development recently, and some SatNavs struggle a little. Turning off Camp Road, at the roundabout take the 4th exit and along East Castle street, ignore the first turning left, continue along the road and you will find a carpark on the left. Heyford Park Innovation Center entrance is in the south east corner.
