About
WireTrain
Our mission is to bring together knowledge from across the industry, and to distill this into accessible technical training. We want to enable newcomers and experienced engineers of different levels to learn, understand, and succeed, to push the parameters, and to continue to ensure the motorsport industry continues to be a leader in engineering excellence.
About
John Wedlake, WireTrain Founder
John Wedlake is the driving force behind the WireTrain team. From his first role in motorsport in 1996 at age 19, in the British Rally Championship, he has spent the decades since working across a huge range of motorsport disciplines.
He very quickly took an interest in the technical side, and after completing university went on to work as a support engineer for MoTeC Europe, and their datalogging systems and building adapter wiring harnesses, for MoTeC Europe.
In the two decades since he has progressed through various roles in motorsport, covering wiring design, building and systems engineering. During this time there are not many areas of motorsport he hasn’t been involved with, at some stage.
